Blackpool Victoria Hospital (BVH)

We have been involved in a number of projects at BVH including replacement of inefficient hot water calorifiers with steam to hot water plate heat exchangers, invertor controls to pump installations, refurbishment of lifts as well as reconfiguration of the hospital Pharmacy Suite.

The Pharmacy suite comprises a number of clean rooms which house isolators where medicines are manufactured including cancer treatment drugs. The ventilation installation comprises rooftop air handling units serving the internal rooms via constant volume boxes and pressure stabilisers to ensure pressure differential between rooms are maintained at all times.

The systems are required to operate 24 hours a day and are provided with run and standby motors and interfaces to alarms to ensure any faults are immediately rectified.
